Week 7 Day 3

Confession: I pigged out this weekend.

Which is why I gained a pound this week. I think because of my 3 pound loss I felt like i could eat whatever I wanted. Which is not true. I have to remember when I have a victory I can't celebrate with food. So now I'm looking for a replacement for celebrating. Pretty much I have an excuse to eat to for everything, stress, victories, losses, get togethers, special occasions everything. THIS SUCKS!!!! I eat for everything!!!!!! No wonder I have a hard time losing weight. Why can't I just be content and not feel like I have to eat when something goes right....or wrong.

I need to regroup and and get refocused!!!

I shall return with new motivation.

  1. So I had a complete fail of a week. I gained two pounds coming in at 139.2. I have all week felt like I have struggled with figuring out what is for dinner. I seem to spend all my energy on focus on the food and what I am going to make and what it is going to do to the scale and I stress out about it and then stress eat or whatever. So is week I am going to not stress out so much about dinner. I went to the store today and bought lots of healthy options so even if I don't make dinner one night we won't starve and instead of stressing I am going to try and enjoy life this week and not have it so controlled my food and dinner options.

  2. I wouldn't say I had a great week with weight loss- but it was "that time of the month" and I felt bloated all week! But on the good side, Joy came to Sky with me 3 days in a row and we tried an hour Yoga class, the S-cycle class and did cardio and circuit the other day! It was a refreshing change to my regular routine! Oh and the fellowship was wonderful~

my weight loss was .8 lbs so that put me at 135.2- that app Rachel recommended to us has really made the difference to understand calories in and calories out!!! Try it ladies, it will really help with snacking and eating out.

I'm on a 1400 calorie intake with 4 days of hour exercise! That helps me lose 1 lb a week on the fitnesspal app.

I would be happy to recommend easy dinners for cdub above:
    >>>Organic soup + salad or veggie sandwich
(Imagine brand from Food Pyramid has amazing soups like portobello mushroom, creamy broccoli etc. my husband and I really like them)
    >>>Chopped chicken and veggie salad
(chopped tomatos, zucchini, red or green pepper and tossed with marinated mushrooms in maple syrup, olive oil and balsalmic vinegar)
    >>> Tilapia Fish Tacos
(cook fish on stove top like ground beef with olive oil and add chopped olives and tomatos. Place on a bed of lettuce on warmed taco shells and top with some shredded cheese and salsa)
    >>> Baked chicken with cous cous
    >>> Sweet potatos and side of veggies or salad
    >>> Veggie stir fry over brown rice
    >>> Tuna over bed of greens
    >>> Avocado salads topped with assorted veggies

    - I hope this gives you ideas for new dinners! We eat lots of non-meat dinners and when its cold I like to experiment with new soups! they are so filling :)

  3. So just weighed in for 2/28 and thought I would post now before my scale changed its mind. It seems to think that I am down to 136.6 today which I am going to take and run far far away with. Last night I got to see our beloved Faith and Greg and we hit Bricktown and well.... it hit me back. :-/ But at least there seems to be some scale benefit from it.
Weight loss for this week 2.6 pounds.
Oh and Lisa thank you for your great suggestions. I have also been able this week to back down off the dinner ledge. I had Daniel help with the menu planning and we went to the grocery store yesterday afternoon. So now when I get home at 630 every night I will not have to be taunted by the kitchen and the ever looming "what's for dinner?" question.
I hope you all had a good week and if you are looking for a secret tip all I have this week is get in a fight with Bricktown; it seems to work at least temporarily!
    Much love to all!

  4. Week 8: I lost 1.6 pounds! ::jump, jump:: Yippee!

This week was more about eating better as opposed to working out. I'm trying to follow Lisa's regiment of fruits, veggies, and nuts for breakfast/lunch, meat (if at all) for dinner. One week and already noticing a difference!
